Black Keys – ‘Strange Times’
Those eagerly awaiting the forthcoming album by the Black Keys – produced by none other than Danger Mouse – have been given a taste with lead-off single, ‘Strange Times’. Attack and Release will be the duo’s fifth album (their first in a studio) and comes not long after their collaborative project with Ike Turner was aborted after his passing in December.
While the Gnarls Barkley man has been looking after production duties, going on the above evidence it doesn’t seem to have altered the pair’s signature sound of grimey, blues-orientated rock as drastically as one might have expected. (more…)
